Unemployment falls for first time in a year

UK unemployment has registered its first fall since Spring 2011, in the latest piece of good news this week to give the Pound a boost.


For the fourth time in a week, sterling has hit new 18-month highs against the Euro, and is also up agains the US Dollar and most other currencies. The Euro in particular continues to be dogged by Spanish debt problems.


Sending payment abroad to most countries is now cheaper than in recent months, so consider fixing an exhange rate now for your upcoming requirements.
