Overview - JOD

The Jordanian Dinar is the currency used in Jordan and its ISO code is JOD.

The JOD was introduced in 1949 where previously the Palestinian Pound had been used. Since October 1995 the JOD has been officially pegged to the USD. It is fixed at a rate of 1 dinar = 1.41044 USD and therefore rate fluctuation follows the USD.
